DfE requests feedback on changes to Safeguarding guidance.
The Department for Education is looking for feedback on changes to the statutory guidance 'Working Together to Safeguard Children' including the new 'child death review' guidance.
This statutory guidance sets out what is expected of organisations, individually and jointly, to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
The consultation is focused on asking for opinions about:
- significant revisions to Working Together to Safeguard Children, the statutory guidance on what’s expected of organisations to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
- 2 sets of statutory instruments (regulations) needed to support the new arrangements
- new child death review guidance
The consultation is available on this link and you can add comments to it. It closes on 31 December 2017. Following this consultation, the government proposes to update and replace the current statutory guidance, Working Together to Safeguard Children 2015.
